Jordan offers tender for transporting crude oil from Iraq
AMMAN, March 19 (Xinhua) -- Jordan on Tuesday offered a tender to transport crude Oil from Iraq's Baiji Oil refinery to Jordan Petroleum Refinery Company, Jordanian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources said.
Under the tender, more than 10,000 barrels of crude Oil will be transported from Iraq to Jordan per day, the ministry said in a statement.
The deadline for companies to submit bids is April 4, the ministry added.
The tender followed the signing of an agreement between Jordan and Iraq in February under which Jordan will resume receiving crude Oil from Iraq, Jordanian Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Hala Zawati said in the statement.
Jordan said that it will receive Iraqi Oil with a discount of 16 U.S. dollars per barrel from the price of the Brent crude Oil.
Supply of Iraqi crude Oil to Jordan was halted in 2014 because of instability in Iraq. Enditem
