Volvo inaugurates Asia-Pacific Headquarters in Shanghai

Volvo Car Group inaugurated its Asia-Pacific Headquarters in Shanghai on Monday.

The Volvo Asia-Pacific Headquarters covers 200,000 square meters in Jiading District of Shanghai.

Yuan Xiaolin, senior vice president of Volvo Car Group, said the inauguration of the headquarters marked the company's commitment to the sustainable development of the Asia-Pacific market with CHINA as the center.

Volvo sold 130,593 vehicles in CHINA in 2018, up 14.1 percent year on year. The company, acquired by Chinese automaker Geely in 2010, employs 38,000 people globally.
