Chinese shares close lower at midday Tuesday

BEIJING, March 19 (Xinhua) -- China's major stock indices ended index.html" target="_blank">index.html" target="_blank">Lower in the morning session index.html" target="_blank">index.html" target="_blank">Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite index.html" target="_blank">index down 0.22 percent at 3,089.5 points.

The Shenzhen Component index.html" target="_blank">index fell 0.11 percent to end at 9,832.98 points at midday.
