APD | Top Philippine Officials Off to Beijing to Discuss “Build, Build, Build”

MANILA,Mar.18(APD)-A series of meetings has been scheduled between Philippine and Chinese officials in Beijing to continue coordination with the Chinese government about the Duterte administration’s infrastructure flagship projects under the “Build, Build, Build.”
In a statement released by the Department of Finance today, it was learned the Philippine delegation to Beijing is led by Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea. They are to meet with top officials of China’s Ministry of Commerce tomorrow (March 19) to forge new agreements on infrastructure cooperation between the two countries.
The delegation is also scheduled to meet with Chinese Vice President Wang Qishan. They will also meet separately with officials from the Export-Import Bank of China (EximBank) and the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), the office in charge of reviewing and implementing Beijing’s foreign aid projects.
On Wednesday, a Philippine Economic Briefing (PEB) will be held in Beijing to showcase those possible investors the vast opportunities can be provided to them in the Philippines as it continues to emerge as an economic powerhouse in the region.
