DOHA, March 7 (Xinhua) -- Qatar sold bonds worth 12 billion U.S. dollars out of orders of more than 50 billion dollars, the Finance Ministry said on Thursday.

"Qatar has achieved a successful return to the international financial markets with a total of three tranches worth 12 billion dollars," said a statement issued by the ministry, according to the Qatari News Agency.

Qatar is boycotted by Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt which accuse Doha of supporting terrorism.

Qatar denies the claim.
