Second Trump-Kim summit starts in Hanoi
The second summit between U.S. President Donald Trump and Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) leader Kim Jong Un is underway in Vietnam's capital city Hanoi, eight months after their historic first meeting between a sitting American president and a DPRK leader.

U.S. President Donald Trump and DPRK leader Kim Jong Un shook hands in front of cameras at the Sofitel Legend Metropole Hotel in Hanoi, Vietnam on the first day of the second summit between the two sides.
Trump predicted the talks over DPRK's nuclear program would be "very successful."
Kim was also positive about the second summit and quoted as saying: "I am certain that an outcome will be achieved this time that will be welcomed by all people."
