APD | Saudi Arabia Crown Prince visits India

NEW DELHI, Feb.19 (APD) -- Mohammad Bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia will arrive in New Delhi on Tuesday.
He is scheduled to arrive in the evening and will spend two-days on his official visit to India.
Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Defence, Vice President of the Council of Ministers along with a high-level delegation, comprising of businessmen, ministers and senior officials, will accompany the Crown Prince.
The Crown Prince will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Ram Nath Kovind.
He is expected to hold talks with Modi on a variety of issues and sign several agreements on Wednesday.
India and Saudi Arabia might also initiate the setting up of Strategic Partnership Council at a ministerial level, decide to hold joint naval exercises and enhance cooperation during this visit.
Earlier, the Crown Prince and his delegation had visited Pakistan and vowed to curb the tension between India and Pakistan. After his visit to India, the Crown Prince is expected to visit China.
India and Saudi Arabia share friendly relations. Saudi Arabia is India’s 4th largest trading partner, with around 20 per cent of India’s crude requirements being met by the former.
In 2017-18 the bilateral trade between the two was 27.48 billion. About 2.7 million people of Indian origin live and work in Saudi Arabia.
