"Terrorist" surrenders to Algerian army
ALGIERS, Jan. 25 (Xinhua) -- A "terrorist" surrendered to Algerian army in The province of Tamanrasset, about 1,900 km south of The capital Algiers, The defense ministry said Friday.
The "terrorist," identified as Mahjoubi Ahmed, surrendered to The Algerian army with a Degtyaryov machine-gun seized, The ministry said in a statement.
The statement also confirmed The arrest of six drug traffickers with 261.8 kg of narcotics and 990 narcotic drug pills in several provinces in The country.
On Wednesday, The ministry said two "terrorists" surrendered to The army in Tamanrasset.
The two, identified as Shaminmas Mahma and Moussa Husseini, joined terrorist groups in 2009 and 2015 respectively.
They also turned in an RPG-7 launcher, a heavy machine-gun of 14.5-mm caliber, a Kalashnikov rifle, three loaded magazines and 13,160 bullets. Enditem
