China's reigning world titleholder in the 76-kilogram category, Wang Zhouyu, moved up two divisions and was looking to continue her success by sweeping all three gold medals at 87 kilograms at the Asian Weightlifting Championships in east China's Ningbo city.

Wang won the overall and clean and jerk world titles last November while settling for silver in the snatch. But she claimed gold in that segment here by pushing up 125 kilograms.

The 24-year-old from Hubei Province then took top spot in the clean and jerk by hoisting 155 kilograms, and 280 overall, giving her all three golds.

Ao Hui, the reigning world champion at 87 kilograms, was limited by a wrist injury as she finished with silver in the clean and jerk and bronze overall.

Meanwhile, in the earlier men's 109 kg division, China's Yang Zhe claimed the snatch's gold medal with 192 kg, also winning the overall top award with a total of 417 kg after winning the bronze medal of a jerk with 225 kg.
