Bulgaria wants to increase mutual investments with Lebanon
BEIRUT, April 1 (Xinhua) -- Roumen Porozhanov, Bulgaria's minister of agriculture, food and forests, said on Monday that his country is highly interested in signing agreements with Lebanon to increase mutual investments.
"We are ambitious in finding a common vision with Lebanon on our future cooperation in various areas," Porozhanov was quoted as saying by Elnashra, an online independent newspaper.
Porozhanov's remarks came during his visit to the Chamber of Commerce, Agriculture and Industry in southern Lebanon.
The minister said that it will not be his last visit to Lebanon.
"We place a great importance on the tobacco sector and we have a lot of banks that are interested in funding this sector," he said.
Meanwhile, Mohammad Hassan Saleh, head of the south's Chamber of Commerce, Agriculture and Industry, said he aims at adopting new mechanisms for the exchange of expertise and knowledge between Lebanon and Bulgaria.
