Major museums in Beijing to join exhibition in Xiong'an New Area

The museums will display cultural relics and creative cultural products at the festival, which is scheduled from April 26 to 28, the news.cn/en/tag/i0xngaj3163f76200c981b/index.html" target="_blank">news.cn/en/tag/i0xjgnz22b424e38666cfc/index.html" target="_blank">BEIJING Daily reported.

Performances will also be staged at the festival to showcase intangible cultural heritage of Xiong'an, according to the news.cn/en/tag/i0xngaj3163f76200c981b/index.html" target="_blank">newspaper.

China announced plans to establish Xiong'an news.cn/en/tag/i0xngaj3163f76200c981b/index.html" target="_blank">new Area in April 2017. Located some 100 kilometers southwest of downtown news.cn/en/tag/i0xngaj3163f76200c981b/index.html" target="_blank">news.cn/en/tag/i0xjgnz22b424e38666cfc/index.html" target="_blank">BEIJING, Xiong'an news.cn/en/tag/i0xngaj3163f76200c981b/index.html" target="_blank">new Area mostly covers Xiongxian, Rongcheng and Anxin counties in Hebei.

Xiongxian, where the exhibition will be held, is known for its complex network of underpasses from around 1,000 years ago. It also has a centuries-long history of antique collection and trade.
