Belt and Road Short Video Competition: Awards ceremony held in Beijing
The awards ceremony for the first Belt and road Short Video competition hosted by Global Times Online was held at People's Daily New Media Building in Beijing on Friday.
Supported by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) of the State Council News Center and China Public Diplomacy Association (CPDA), the video competition was launched on February 18 and has lasted for more than one month. Over 300 short videos were submitted by around 200 "Belt and road" cooperation projects from more than 70 countries, attracting a total of 37.5 million audiences from all over the world to vote for their favorite videos.

Chen Yuming said in the speech that he was happy to see the constructors from China and countries along "Belt and road" actively participating in the competition, which means China's Belt and road Initiative has been fully responded and sees the forming of a win-win situation of achieving shared growth through discussion and collaboration
Djauhari Oratmangun, Ambassador of Indonesia to China and See Chee Kong, Minister Counsellor (Economic) of Embassy of Malaysia in China were also present.

Each video in the competition tells a distinct story of how China joins hands with other countries to enhance local construction and economic development and build a community of shared future for mankind. The competition recognizes outstanding videosin eight categories, including “Most Popular Video” and “Most Creative Video” etc. Representatives of the award-winning enterprises stepped on stage and expressed their feelings about working in the "Belt and road" cooperation projects.
Suriandi, one of the representatives from Indonesia's Manado-Bitung highway project constructed by China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) road and Bridge Group, said the project has created employment opportunities for local people and brought advanced construction technology.
