Liaoning, Xinjiang take 2-0 lead in CBA playoffs quarters
In the ongoing quarterfinals of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) playoffs, the Liaoning Flying Leopards have notched up a 2-0 lead with a magnificent 115-95 victory over their rivals, the Fujian Sturgeons, at home on Thursday.
The game saw Brandon Bass and Guo Ailun pacing the defending champions as their side now needs just one more win to advance to the semifinal. Bass would finish with 34 while Guo added 25.

Domestic MVP Wang Zhelin scored 24 for the Sturgeons in the losing battle.
After the 20-point rout, Liaoning will now try to close out this last eight series on the road in Fujian.
Elsewhere, last year's runner-up Guangsha fell short against against Xinjiang despite a 31-point game from Ioannis Bourousis.
Li Gen led the Flying Tigers with 27 points in the 139-125 win.
Xinjiang leads the series 2-0 and will now attempt to complete the sweep in Hangzhou.
