Real Madrid, Man United ready to spend big money on transfer
Bayern Munich of BundesLiga paid club-record 80 million euros (about 90 million U.S. dollars) for full-back Lucas Hernandez from Li Liga's Atletico Madrid, sounding the clarion call for the arms race on the transfer market in 2019 summer. Meanwhile, Real Madrid from Li Liga and Manchester United from Premier Leaguedid not want to fall behind and thus reportedly prepared some big checks to join the competition.
According to The Sun, the Red Devils had a budget of 170 million pounds (about 223 million U.S. dollars) for three target players: Aaron Wan-Bissaka. Declan Rice and Jadon Sancho.

21-year-old Wan-Bissaka is a right-back of Premier League's Crystal Palace. Having earned a firm position in this club this season, Wan-Bissaka kept getting better on the field and was named Player of the Month by Crystal Palace for August, September and October of last year. His performance already drew attention from several big clubs, including Man United.
Though Transfermarket estimated Wan-Bissaka's price at 25 million pounds (about 33 million U.S. dollars), it's hard to imagine that Crystal Palace will let him go for less than 50 million in today's market.

Declan Rice, 20, is a defensive midfielder of Premier League's West Ham United. He made his national debut under Gareth Southgate in England's 5-1 win against Montenegro on March 25. One month ago, the other two English clubs, Liverpool and Tottenham already contended for him before Man United got involved.
Transfermarket gave Rice an assessed price of 35 million pounds (about 46 million U.S. dollars).

Jadon Sancho is the youngest of the three (turning 19 years old last week) but he's the highest in demand. Sancho grew from Harefield Academy of Watford and the Manchester City academy before he left for Germany to join Borussia Dortmund in 2017 as a winger. So far in the 2018-19 season, Sancho scored eight goals in the 26 games he played in BundesLiga and scored one goal in the seven games she played at the UEFA Champions League.
Transfermarket believes the youngster is worth 80 million pounds (about 105 million U.S. dollars) but in order to convince Dortmund to give up such a promising young man, the Red Devils may have to sweeten the pot.
Paul Pogba #6 of Premier League's Manchester United, Kylian Mbappé #7 of Ligue 1's Paris-Saint Germain and Eden Hazard #17 of Premier League's Chelsea. /VCG Photo
Of the three, Hazard was the easiest target considering the Belgian midfielder turned down contract extension offers by Chelsea multiple times and expressed his interest in playing for Real Madrid. His contract will be over in 2020 summer, so if Chelsea do not sell him this summer, they may end watching him leave for free.
Pogba also said he was willing to play in Bernabeu and Real Madrid's new manager Zinedine Zidane praised this French compatriot of his as well. However, Man United offered 105 million euros (about 118 million U.S. dollars) to bring him to the Old Trafford with high expectations. Now that the club finally showed some good signs under Ole Solskjaer, why would they agree to send Pogba to Real Madrid?
Mbappé is the trickiest target. It cost Paris-Saint Germain 180 million euros (about 202 million U.S. dollars) to introduce him and he already showed the potential to become one of the world's best players at the age of 20. Before PSG and Mbappé achieve any breakthrough at the Champions League, the French club will probably not let him go even with an offer of 300 million euros (about 337 million U.S. dollars), the price they asked to scare buyers away.
The estimated prices given by Transfermarket to Hazard, Pogba and Mbappé are respectively 150 million (about 169 million U.S.dollars), 90 million (about 101 million U.S.dollars) and 200 million euros (about 224 million U.S.dollars). Nonetheless, let's not forget that this is Real Madrid we are talking about. It's the club that managed to collect the best players of Premier League (Cristiano Ronaldo), Serie A (Kaka) and Ligue 1 (Karim Benzema) in the same summer in 2009.
