KIEV, march 27 (Xinhua) -- More than 410,000 Ukrainians living abroad are set to take part in the country's presidential election on march 31, the Interfax-Ukraine news agency said on Wednesday, citing a senior Foreign Ministry official.

Serhii Pohoreltsev, the director of the ministry's consular service department, told a media briefing in Kiev that the largest number of Ukrainians is expected to vote in polling stations in Italy, Poland, Czech Republic and Spain.

The Central Electoral Commission has said that Ukraine has set up a total of 101 polling stations abroad for the presidential election.

According to various opinion polls, incumbent President Petro Poroshenko, opposition politician Yulia Tymoshenko and actor Volodymyr Zelensky were viewed as frontrunners among a total of 39 candidates participating in the presidential race.

Overall, there are about 29.8 million eligible voters in Ukraine.
