MOFA: Kazakh FM to pay two-day visit to China this week
Kazakh foreign Minister Beibut Atamkulov is paying an official visit to CHINA on March 28-29 at the invitation of State Councilor and foreign Minister Wang Yi, the Chinese Ministry of foreign Affairs has said.
Spokesperson Geng Shuang made the announcement at a regular press briefing on Wednesday.
Atamkulov is visiting CHINA for the first time since taking the helm of the Kazakh foreign Ministry last December.
Geng said Atamkulov will meet with Chinese leaders and hold talks with Wang on issues concerning CHINA-Kazakhstan ties, high-level exchanges this year and cooperation on the Belt and Road Initiative, among other topics of common interest.
"Currently, CHINA-Kazakhstan relations continue to develop at a high standard," Geng said.
"Increasing mutual support and reinforcing collaboration that is mutually beneficial is in line with the two countries' common interests and expectations."
