Kuwait launches 7th yacht show

Kuwait CITY, March 26 (Xinhua) -- the 7th Kuwait Yacht Show (KYS) started on Tuesday at the Marina Crescent in Kuwait City, the capital of Kuwait.

On the sidelines of the show, Anas Khalid Al Saleh, Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, said that "the Yacht show is growing significantly with the international participators year after year."

Zeina Modaddam, one of the organizer of the event, noted that the 7th edition of the Kuwait Yacht Show is the largest edition with more than 70 companies participated in, adding that more than 15 thousand attendees come to the show yearly.

New activities featured for the first time range from daily marine-themed talks, debates, a live simulation by an expert kayaker, and many fish-casting competitions.

In addition, attendees will have the chance to enjoy the sailing experience on two sailboats offered by the Kuwait Sailing Association.

A highlight for visiting public is the exclusive KYS 2019 raffle draw where one lucky registered visitor will win a Kuwait-made fishing boat.
