Egypt's court lists 145 as "terrorists"

CAIRO, March 26 (Xinhua) -- An Egyptian Court on Tuesday upheld placing 145 people on terror list for five years, official MENA news agency reported.

The Court of Cassation, Egypt's top Court that gives final verdicts, rejected The appeal of The defendants.

The defendants, belonging to a terrorist group known as "Tala'a Hasem," included TV anchors and journalists who work in some Turkish media.

They were accused of planning for organizing The lines of militants of The now banned Muslim BroTherhood movement in Egypt to carry out terror attacks and to provoke chaos and violence.

Wave of terrorism prevailed in Egypt since The military ousted former Islamist President Mohamed Morsi in early July 2013 in response to mass protests against his rule and his currently outlawed Muslim BroTherhood group.
