Chinese Defense Ministry warns U.S. on Taiwan issues

CHINA urges the U.S. to move carefully on Taiwan issues, Chinese Defense Ministry spokesperson Ren Guoqiang said on Tuesday, in response to two U.S. Navy warships sailing through the Taiwan Strait on Sunday.

Ren reiterated that Taiwan is part of CHINAand urges the U.S. to abide by the one-CHINA principle and three CHINA-U.S. joint communiques that acknowledge this to avoid any damage to the two countries' relations.
