Yuzuru Hanyu to quit ISU World Team Trophy due to ankle injury
BEIJING, March 26 (Xinhua) -- Twice Olympic champion Yuzuru Hanyu has decided to pull out of next month's ISU world Team Trophy with ankle injury, according to Kyodo News.
The Japan Skating Federation said that Hanyu, who won a silver medal at the world Figure Skating Championships in Saitama on Saturday, was forced to withdraw due to the aggravated injury, sustained last year in Russia.
The world Team Trophy will be held from April 11 to 13 in Japan. Japan, Russia, the United States, France, Canada and Italy will attend the competition.
