Many foreign countries, international organizations observe Thai election: commissioner
BANGKOK, March 23 (Xinhua) -- Representatives of many foreign Countries and international organizations are observing Sunday's election in Thailand, said election Commissioner Lertviroj Kowattana here on Saturday.
According to the commissioner, one group of representatives of the foreign Countries and international organizations, including those of a dozen Bangkok-based embassies of Australia, Bhutan, Cambodia, Malaysia, the Maldives, Myanmar, Indonesia, the Philippines, South Korea, Timor-Leste and Vietnam, is observing the election in Bangkok and outlying provinces.
Meanwhile, another group of representatives of Canada, Denmark, France, the Netherlands, Britain, the United States and a few international organizations are observing the election in a free and independent fashion, he said.
