Spanish stock market falls by 1.67 percent on Friday

MADRID, March 22 (Xinhua) -- Spanish share values fell by 1.67 percent on Friday with the benchmark stock market index Ibex-35 opening at 9.355,60 points and closing at 9.199,40 points.

Thirty-three of the 35 companies trading on the Ibex-35 suffered losses, while just two saw their shares gain value.

The only two companies that saw their share prices improve on Friday were energy company Endesa with a 0.92 percent rise in share prices, and industrial corporation Acciona where shares rose by 0.10 percent.

Friday's worst performer was steel producer Arcelormittal with a 5.31 drop in share prices. The shares in industrial group CIE Automotive lost 3.98 percent of their value and there was a 3.84 fall in the share value of savings bank Banco Santander. Enditem
