U.S.-listed Chinese firms trade mostly higher

NEW YORK, March 21 (Xinhua) -- U.S.-listed Chinese companies traded mostly higher on Thursday with eight of the top 10 index.html" target="_blank">index.html" target="_blank">stocks by weight in the SP U.S. Listed China 50 index.html" target="_blank">index ending the day on an upbeat note.

Shares of JD.com and NetEase rose 2.42 index.html" target="_blank">index.html" target="_blank">percent and 1.27 index.html" target="_blank">index.html" target="_blank">percent, respectively, leading the gainers in the top 10 index.html" target="_blank">index.html" target="_blank">stocks of the index.html" target="_blank">index.

Shares of TAL Education Group and ZTO Express fell 1.52 index.html" target="_blank">index.html" target="_blank">percent and 0.38 index.html" target="_blank">index.html" target="_blank">percent, respectively, the only two decliners in the top 10 index.html" target="_blank">index.html" target="_blank">stocks of the index.html" target="_blank">index.

U.S. index.html" target="_blank">index.html" target="_blank">stocks advanced on Thursday as major tech shares surged, contributing to the market.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average jumped 216.84 points, or 0.84 index.html" target="_blank">index.html" target="_blank">percent, to 25,962.51. The SP 500 increased 30.65 points, or 1.09 index.html" target="_blank">index.html" target="_blank">percent, to 2,854.88. The Nasdaq Composite index.html" target="_blank">index rose 109.99 points, or 1.42 index.html" target="_blank">index.html" target="_blank">percent, to 7,838.96.

The Cboe Volatility index.html" target="_blank">index, widely considered the best fear gauge in the stock market, decreased 2.01 index.html" target="_blank">index.html" target="_blank">percent to 13.63 on Thursday.

As of Wednesday, the SP U.S. Listed China 50 index.html" target="_blank">index stood at 2,792.32, marking a 2.11-index.html" target="_blank">index.html" target="_blank">percent increase for the month-to-date returns and a 21.87-index.html" target="_blank">index.html" target="_blank">percent gain for the year-to-date returns.
