Spanish stock market falls by 0.53 percent on Thursday

MADRID, March 21 (Xinhua) -- Spanish share values fell by 0.53 percent on Thursday with the benchmark stock market index Ibex-35 opening on 9.405,60 points and closing on 9.355,60 points.

Twenty of the 35 companies trading on the Ibex-35 suffered losses, while 14 saw their shares gaining value and one remained unchanged.

Media company Mediaset saw shares drop by 3.23 percent, the top loser, followed by the savings banks Banco Sabadell with losses of 3.14 percent, and Bankia with a 2.54 percent reduction in share values.
