Qatar, U.S. start joint military exercise

The Qatari Armed Forces started on Thursday a military training with armed forces of friendly countries, the Qatari News Agency said.

The training consists of seven stages, said the commander in charge of the exercise from the Qatari side.

The stages of the drill cover planning, as well as control and evaluation of the situation of the armed forces, he added.

The exercise partners, the United States and Qatar, will facilitate a bilateral response to transnational security threat, a local newspaper said.
