Mike Trout, one of baseball's superstars, is all set to become the Richie Rich of his generation as he is expected to sign a whopping 430-million-U.S.-dollar contract – the highest-ever deal in the history of world Sports. According to various media reports, Trout looks likely to sign on the dotted lines for the dream deal as he has apparently agreed to a 12-year contract extension with the Los Angeles Angels.

Once it's done, the deal will help the American outfielder net an astronomical 36 million U.S. dollars a year, making it the most expensive contract in Major League Baseball (MLB) history and also the biggest in Sports till date.

Here, we go through some of the other biggest deals in world Sports.

Bryce Harper

Trout's likely mega-million contract will surpass the 330-million-U.S.-dollar 13-year deal the Philadelphia Phillies and another MLB star Harper agreed to last month. 27-year-old Trout is a two-time American League MVP, six-time winner of the silver slugger award and has hit 240 home runs in 1,065 games in his illustrious career so far.

Canelo Alvarez

Interestingly, the biggest ever deal the world of Sports witnessed till date was when boxer Alvarez's inked a 365 million U.S. dollars 11-fight arrangement with Sports broadcaster DAZN.

The 27-year-old baseball player's soon-to-be-confirmed deal will eclipse that to make him the receiver of the richest sporting contract. In fact, even though Trout's prospective contract would be the biggest in terms of total value, Alvarez can still earn more than the baseball superstar in the same period as the Mexican's DAZN contract could be up in under six years, and as a result of that he will still have the option to sign another lucrative deal.
