Oman to increase oil output to 670,000 bpd: official
MUSCAT, March 20 (Xinhua) -- Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), Oil and natural gas producer in Oman, said on Wednesday that it plans to increase Oil output to 670,000 barrel per day (bpd) from 610,170 bpd.
PDO Managing Director Raoul Restucci said in a media briefing that "our approach has been simple -- to stay the course in the face of Oil price uncertainty and increase technical and operational scale challenge."
PDO confirmed that 2018 saw its highest Oil output since 2005 of 610,170 bpd, despite the impact of Cyclone Mekunu last May.
The improvements highlighted the ongoing concerted effort across the company to enhance safety and operation excellence at the frontline," he said.
"This is achieved through better supervision, awareness, training, and continuous implementation of new technologies and program," he added.
