CBA Playoffs: Beijing Ducks beat Shanghai Sharks 117-103

The BEIJING Ducks traveled to beat The Shanghai Sharks 117 to 103 in Their second round of The Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) Playoffs in Shanghai on Tuesday .

The visitors swept Their best-of-three series two games to none and advanced to a quarter-final showdown with The fourth-seeded Shenzhen Leopards.

The 12th-seeded Shanghai fell into a quick hole in front of Their home fans at The Pudong Yuanshen Stadium before Jimmer Fredette found Wang Tong for a jumper to cut The deficit to ten later in The first quarter, as The American guard was limited to 13 points and five assists.

Fifth-seeded BEIJING opened The second with Zhai Xiaochuan dishing to Zhu Yanxi for three of his 18 points. Justin Hamilton cleaned Aaron Jackson's miss on The fast-break before The big American threw down The slam dunk on his way to a game-high 29 points.

Hamilton picked up his fourth foul against Luo Hanchen and headed to The bench before The end of The second quarter, as Luo took advantage by driving in for a couple of his 19 points.

The Ducks would not give up and added to Their cushion when Jackson found Zhu to open on The outside whose six triples helped add glory for a "Juicy-13."

BEIJING went on to cruise into The last eight. But it looks like that it's The swan song for Shanghai's veteran guard Liu Wei. The 39-year-old is fourth on The CBA's career points list, and has been leaning towards retiring at The end of this season.
