Spanish stock market rises by 0.88 percent on Tuesday

MADRID, March 19 (Xinhua) -- Spanish share values increased by 0.88 percent on Tuesday with the benchmark stock market index Ibex-35 opening on 9,409.10 points and closing on 9,492.30 points.

Only four of the 35 companies trading on the Ibex-35 suffered losses, with the shares of the other 31 all gaining value.

Tuesday's best performer was the media company, Mediaset, with a 3.69 percent rise in share values, followed by renewable energy company Siemens Gamesa with 3.62 percent increase and telecommunications company Cellnex Telecom, which saw share prices climb by 3.03 percent.

The day's biggest losers include renewable energy and cellulose producer ENCE Energia y Celulosa, which saw shares drop by 2.32 percent, and infrastructure company Ferrovial, which suffered losses of 0.57 percent. There was a 0.10 percent reduction in the value of savings bank Caixabank. Enditem
