Dollar changes hands in lower 111 yen zone in early trade in Tokyo

Tokyo, March 20 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands in the lower 111 yen zone in early deals in Tokyo on Wednesday, largely in line with its levels in New York overnight.

As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 111.42-43 yen compared with 111.38-48 yen in New York and 111.26-28 yen at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday in Tokyo.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1353-1354 dollars and 126.53-54 yen against 1.1346-1356 dollars and 126.43-53 yen in New York and 1.1346-1347 dollars and 126.24-28 yen in late Tuesday afternoon trade in Tokyo.
