Yemeni senior military officer killed in car accident in Egypt

CAIRO, March 18 (Xinhua) -- Yemeni Adviser to Defense Minister Abdel Kader al-Amoudi was killed on Monday in a traffic accident in Egypt's Giza province, state-run Ahram website reported.

The senior military officer was hit by a car while crossing The road in Faisal Street located in The highly populated Talbiya district, The report said.

The accident caused immediate death, it added, noting that The driver was arrested.

A security official was quoted as saying that The preliminary investigations revealed The traffic accident leading to The death of The Yemeni official was a normal accident.
