German shares edge down Monday
FRANKFURT, March 18 (Xinhua) -- German stocks edged down on Monday, with the benchmark DAX index down 28.63 points, or 0.24 percent, to close at 11,657.06 points.
Material manufacturer Covestro lost 3.37 percent, the top loser among the blue chips, followed by semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies and sportswear and equipment maker Adidas, which lost 2.58 percent and 2.35 percent respectively.
Deutsche Bank gained 4.15 percent, becoming the top gainer. Industrial giant Thyssenkrupp and global internet technology and financial services provider Wirecard advanced 2.83 percent and 2.19 percent respectively.
German telecommunications company Deutsche Telekom was the most traded share with a turnover of 225.7 million euros (255.9 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
