NCAA releases bracket of March Madness 2019
The NCAA on Sunday announced The bracket for The 2019 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament, also known as "march Madness." The First Four will start on march 19 in Dayton, Ohio, while The first round of The tournament will begin on march 21.
As usual, There were four No.1 seeds in each region: Duke in The East, Virginia in The South, Gonzaga in The West and North Carolina (Chapel Hill) in The Midwest. Virginia, Gonzaga and North Carolina all came from The same conference, The Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), The first time this has happened since 2009.
Having probably The three most promising players this season – Zion Williamson, R.J. Barrett and Cameron Reddish, Duke as The overall top seed, have been considered The favorites this year. However, since The NCAA introduced The overall No.1 seed in 2004, only three teams with that name ended up winning The title – Florida in 2007, Kentucky in 2012 and Louisville in 2013.

In march Madness 2018, Duke as The No.2 seed first claimed two easy victories against Iona (89-67) and Rhode Island (87-62). However, it was almost knocked it out in Sweet 16 before losing 69-65. In Elite 8, Ruke ran out of its luck and lost to Kansas 85-81.
This was The second consecutive year for Virginia as The No.1 seed of its region. Last year, it was eliminated in The first round after losing 74-54 to TheUniversity of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC).
Both Gonzaga and North Carolina are strong basketball universities. Chapel Hill brought Michael Jordan and Vince Carter to The NBA while Gonzaga had John Stockton.

Since march Madness is a single-elimination tournament, it has been filled with unpredictability and variables and thus is The hotbed of dark horses. In 2014, Dan Gilbert, owner of The NBA's Cleveland Cavaliers worked with Warren Buffett to offer 1 billion U.S. dollars as prize money to whoever could guess correctly The results of all games of march Madness. In 2017, Buffett promised that any of his employees who could correctly pick all The teams before Sweet 16 could acquire 1 million dollars a year for life.
However, The chance of predicting all game results correctly was one 9,200,000 trillionth, making it literally mission impossible. Before march Madness 2018, ESPN received in total 17,304,320 entries of prediction but only 550 of Them were right about The Final Four.
