2 people knocked by train in India's Maharashtra while playing online game
MUMBAI, March 18 (Xinhua) -- Two people engrossed in Playing online game PUBG (PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds) were knocked down by a train at Khatkali Bypass in Hingoli district of Maharashtra, over 570 kms from Mumbai, media reports said Monday.
An accidental death report has been registered at Hingoli police station, the reports said quoting a local police officer.
PUBG is an online multi-player game of South Korean origin which experts have said is highly addictive and gives rise to violent behavior in many of those Playing it.
Several cities and districts in adjoining Gujarat state had banned the online multi-player game citing it to be addictive and harmful for youngsters.
Last week in the state's Rajkot city, police had arrested 10 people between the age group of 18-22 years for Playing the additive online game and violating the ban.
