On the opening night of the CBA Playoffs, Wu Qian and the 11th-seeded Zhejiang Golden Bulls upset the 6th-ranked Guangsha Lions 125-117 on the road. The victory helped Zhejiang take a 1-0 lead over their Hangzhou rivals in the best-of-three first round series.

Zhejiang had a shaky start with Guangsha making early inroads. However, with five minutes left in the first quarter, Wu Qian went into the area and sunk the layup to cut the deficit to three.

Three minutes later, he went straight to the rim with Euro-step and added two more as Zhejiang took the lead for the first time in the game.

In the second quarter, Brandon Paul set up Marcus Denmon for a layup on his way up to the game-high 32 points.

Zhejiang were still trailing by one point.

However, in the third quarter, Courtney Fortson's layup eventually tied the score at 83.

In the last and final quarter Wu Qian found Zhu Xuhang for a triple and his three points cut the deficit once again.

In the last four minutes of the game, Wu grabbed another three-pointer as the visiting side sealed an emphatic win after coming from behind.

Meanwhile, in another playoff game of the day in Beijing, the home side scripted a 110-97 victory over Shanghai Sharks.

Earlier, Justin Hamilton's three pointers gave the Beijing Ducks a three-point lead in the second quarter.

Subsequently, towards the end of the quarter, Fang Shuo extended the lead to nine.

In the third quarter, Jimmer Fredette of the visiting side cut the deficit to 11 before the American set up Luo Hanchen for a triple.

But Aron Jackson responded soon for the home team as he put the lead back to double-digit for hosts.

With six minutes left in the game, Zhai Xiaochuan first stole from Luis Scola and then went all the way to another clinical finishing to hand his Beijing team a magnificent 110-97 victory.
