Kuwait strongly condemns New Zealand mosque attacks
Kuwait CITY, March 15 (Xinhua) -- Kuwait strongly condemned the terrorist shooting attacks on mosques in the news.cn/en/tag/i0xngaj3163f76200c981b/index.html" target="_blank">new Zealand city of Christchurch, Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry said on Friday.
Kuwait affirms its full stand and solidarity with news.cn/en/tag/i0xngaj3163f76200c981b/index.html" target="_blank">new Zealand, and support of all measures to preserve the security and safety of its people and residents, the ministry said in a statement.
Kuwait reiterates its firm stand against all forms and manifestations of terrorism and violence, the statement said.
It also urged the international community to exert further efforts to eliminate violence and terrorism.
Kuwait expresses sincere condolences and sorrow to the victims' families, wishing a speedy recovery for the wounded, the statement said.
At least 49 people were killed and 48 others wounded in the attacks on two mosques of news.cn/en/tag/i0xngaj3163f76200c981b/index.html" target="_blank">new Zealand's Christchurch earlier on Friday.
