Jordanians among injured in New Zealand mosque attacks: ministry

AMMAN, March 15 (Xinhua) -- Jordan's Foreign Ministry on Friday said some Jordanian citizens are among the injured in Christchurch mosque attacks, which killed at least 49 people.

The ministry also condemned the terrorist attacks that targeted two mosques in the New Zealand city of Christchurch.

The ministry said the it is under cooperation with the Embassy of Jordan in Australia to follow up on the issue for the conditions of the injured.

At least 49 people were confirmed dead in the terrorist shootings at two mosques in Christchurch on Friday afternoon and four suspects were arrested by New Zealand police.
