Vietnam to host Int'l Military Sports Council general assembly

HO CHI MINH CITY, March 15 (Xinhua) -- The 74th General Assembly and Congress of The International military Sports Council (CISM) will take place in VIETNAM's Ho Chi Minh City in late April, VIETNAM News Agency reported Friday.

The event will be participated by delegates from 100 nations and regions.

The CISM is one of The largest multi-disciplinary organizations in The world. The council organizes various sporting events for The armed forces of its 138 members.

It annually holds more than 20 military world championships for approximately 30 different sports, continental and regional competitions, The military World Games and most recently Winter Games and World Cadet Games.
