France records stable CPI in February
PARIS, March 14 (Xinhua) -- France's consumer price index (CPI) was stable in February after it fell by 0.4 percent a month earlier, official figures showed on Thursday.
"The rebound in energy prices was offset by a decline in fresh food prices and the lesser drop in manufactured product prices," national statistics bureau Insee said in its monthly report.
February's energy prices rose by 1.3 percent compared with that of January "due to an acceleration in petroleum products prices" which soared by 2.4 percent.
Meanwhile, prices of fresh food and manufacturing products in February were down by 1.3 percent and 0.7 percent respectively from January.
