KIEV, March 13 (Xinhua) -- Ukraine has issued Eurobonds worth 350 million U.S. dollars with a yield rate of 9.75 percent, the country's Finance Ministry said on Wednesday.

JP Morgan was responsible for their issue, the ministry said in a statement, adding that the transaction will be settled on March 21.

According to local media, the 10-year bonds maturing on Nov. 1, 2028, are the follow-up offering to 1.25 billion dollars of Eurobonds issued by Ukraine in October last year.

In general, Ukraine earned 2 billion dollars from Eurobonds sales in 2018 and plans to raise the same sum this year.

According to local economists, Ukraine is in urgent need of external financing due to its huge foreign debt, of which some 16.3 billion dollars should be repaid this year.
