UAE slams EU for inclusion in tax haven blacklist

DUBAI, March 13 (Xinhua) -- The United Arab Emirates (UAE) slammed on Wednesday the EU's decision to add the UAE to its tax haven blacklist, official Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported.

"This inclusion was made despite the UAE's close cooperation with the EU on this issue and ongoing efforts to fulfill all the EU's requirements," said a UAE official statement.

"The UAE remains firmly committed to its long-standing policy of meeting the highest international standards on taxation," the statement added.
