1 Palestinian killed in West Bank clashes with Israeli soldiers

RAMALLAH, March 12 (Xinhua) -- A Palestinian was shot dead on Tuesday evening during clashes with an Israeli army force in the City of Salfit in northern West Bank, medics said.

The Palestinian Authority (PA) Health Ministry said in a press statement that the Palestinian died in the City's governmental hospital after he had been shot in the chest by Israeli soldiers' gunfire.

Meanwhile, residents and Palestinian local media said that the Israeli army stormed the City earlier on Tuesday afternoon and seized street cameras placed outside stores and buildings.

Israeli media outlets reported that militants opened fire at a bus of settlers, which drove near the City on Monday night, adding that no injuries were reported.

Earlier on Tuesday, the PA Health Ministry announced that Yasser al-Shweiki, 27 years old from the southern West Bank City of Hebron, was killed after being shot by Israeli soldiers in the City.

Israel Radio reported that a Palestinian man was shot dead after he tried to stab Israeli soldiers stationed at an Israeli army roadblock in the City of Hebron.
