Top players suffer shock defeats at Indian Wells
Unseeded Canadian teenager Bianca Andreescu has upset 18th seed Wang Qiang of China 7-5 6-2 to book her place in the quarters at Indian Wells on Tuesday.
The win was the 18-year-old Andreescu's 25th of the year, the most of any WTA player.
She will face Garbine Muguruza for the first time after the Spaniard battled back to dispatch Kiki Bertens of the Netherlands 5-7 6-1 6-4.

Meanwhile, world No.2 Simona Halep suffered a shock defeat by Czech teenager Marketa Vondrousova 6-2 3-6 6-2.
For the man's side, world No. 1 Novak Djokvoic fell in straight sets 6-4, 6-4, to 39th-ranked Philipp Kohlschreiber of Germany.
Djokovic was playing his first tournament since lifting a record seventh Australian Open title in January and had won eight of nine prior meetings with Kohlschreiber, but Kohlschreiber advanced to a fourth-round match against France's Gael Monfils.
"I think I put out a pretty good strategy on the court," Kohlschreiber said, "Very clever serve, good return game– it was a good day."

Meanwhile, Pole Hubert Hurkacz fired 10 aces en route to a 4-6 6-4 6-3 upset win over world No.7 Kei Nishikori of Japan to reach the fourth round.
World No.2 Rafael Nadal continued his dominance of Diego Schwartzman, surging past the Argentine 6-3, 6-1 on Tuesday.
