15 more illegal Myanmar migrant workers repatriated from Thailand
YANGON, March 13 (Xinhua) -- Fifteen more illegal Myanmar migrant workers have been repatriated under the arrangement of Thai and Myanmar authorities, according to Myanmar's Ministry of Labor, Immigration and Population Wednesday.
With their border passes expired, the Myanmar migrant workers were sent back to Myanmar on Monday via Thai-Myanmar Friendship Bridge-2.
Most of the migrant workers are from Tanintharyi, Yangon, Bago and Ayayawaddy regions and Mon and Rakhine states.
According to the ministry, 428 illegal Myanmar migrants including 146 female and 19 children were handed over by the Thailand to Myanmar between Jan. 1 and March 11.
