Hong Kong, March 12 (Xinhua) -- Hong Kong stocks closed up 417.57 points, or 1.46 percent, to 28,920.87 points on Tuesday.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index traded between 28,734.09 and 28,941.09. Turnover totaled 109.06 billion Hong Kong dollars (about 13.89 billion U.S. dollars).
