China’s Wang Haoran finishes 13th in final at Winter Universiade
China's Wang Haoran has shown some improvements as he finished 13th in the men's moguls final at the Winter Universiade in the Russian city of Krasnoyarsk on Saturday.
Wang's stable performance helped him realize the Chinese team's goal of reaching the final as he finished the event as one of the 16 top skiers in the world.
Wang has also showcased a slew of good performances in his tournament debut by making it to the final. However, he eventually managed to finish 14th with 46.76 points in the preliminaries while his Chinese teammate Wu Guangjiu came 17th and failed to advance.
After a stuttering start, Wang did quite well in the final and subsequently scored 41.79 points to finish in 13th place. the title of the event went to Benjamin Cavet of France who topped the podium with 80.36 points en route win a gold medal.
