China's central SOEs report strong profit growth in first two months: official

BEIJING, March 9 (Xinhua) -- CHINA's centrally-administered state-owned enterprises (SOEs) saw strong revenue and profit growth in the first two months of 2019, the head of CHINA's top SOE watchdog said Saturday.

Their operation revenues grew by 3.9 percent year on year, while profits surged by 15.3 percent, Xiao Yaqing, head of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, told a news conference on the sidelines of the annual legislative session.
