Bargain buying pushes up CBOT wheat
CHICAGO, March 8 (Xinhua) -- Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) crop futures traded mixed on Friday morning, with wheat rebounding following heavy losses in the past two sessions.
As of 1633 GMT, the most active wheat contract for May delivery was up 4.25 cents to 4.425 dollars per bushel. May corn was down 0.75 cent to 3.645 U.S. dollars per bushel. May soybeans were down 5.5 cents to 8.97 dollars per bushel.
CBOT wheat, which fell more than 2 percent during each of the past two days, rallied on Friday morning over bargain hunting.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) confirmed on Friday that private exporters reported export sales of 664,000 metric tons of soybeans for delivery to China during the 2018/2019 marketing year. But the latest sales failed to boost soybean prices. Enditem
