Dollar decreases below 111 yen amid weaker growth projection for Europe
Tokyo, March 8 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar fell below the 111-yen line in Tokyo on Friday as market players reacted to the projection of weaker growth for Europe in 2019.
At 5 p.m., the dollar was quoted at 110.98-99 yen compared with 111.54-64 yen in New York and 111.78-79 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. on Friday. It moved between 110.95 yen and 111.65 yen during the day.
The euro fetched 1.1209-1211 dollars and 124.40-44 yen against 1.1188-1198 dollars and 124.87-97 yen in New York and 1.1307-1308 dollars and 126.39-43 yen in Tokyo late Thursday afternoon.
