Tunisia extends state of emergency for another month

TUNIS, March 6 (Xinhua) -- Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi announced The extension of The state of emergency for one more month running from March 7, 2019, The presidency said on Wednesday.

The decision was made after consultations with Tunisian Prime Minister Youssef Chahed and President of People's Representatives Assembly Mohamed Ennaceur.

The state of emergency in Tunisia has been extended many times across The Tunisian territory, with The last one dating back on Feb. 5, 2019.

The state of emergency was firstly declared on Nov. 24, 2015, following a bloody bomb attack on a bus of The presidential guard, killing 12 agents.
